What You Should Look For When Choosing A Part D Plan
You should make sure all of your drugs are on the plans formulary-- If a drug is not on the formulary it is not covered. All companies have a seperate formulary and some plans offer a wider variety of drugs.
See if the plan has a deductible-- the standard Medicare Part D plans have a $275 deductible but if you look there are plenty that have a $0 deductible. It all depends on your specific situation
Check the tier level of each drug-- Certain drugs may be a tier 2 with one company and the same drug could be a Tier 3 with a different company
Always look to see which company has the best mail order deals. Some plans actually have a $0 copay for a 3 month supply if you use mail order.
